1969 Camaro Convertible

This 1969 Camaro Convertible came to our shop after being in a couple other restoration shops up north in the Midwest. It was delivered from Wisconsin to be re-worked. After measuring out all the critical body specs, the body was deemed junk. New quarter panels and parts were welded on and obviously there was no checking of measurements. The body crooked and out of square. No panels fit correctly. It could of all been redone but the cost to do so would have been tremendous. The customer learned a valuable lesson.

A brand new Dynacorn body was ordered and this was the best way to go by starting brand new sheet metal and zero rust. Once the new body showed up very little in the way of body work was required. Just what ever smoothing it took to be perfect. By having many original parts and buying what was the few missing components the car was put back together. It was painted Hugger orange with RS head lights and all the factory stripes. This is like quite a few other stories on our web site. This turned out to be the last stop before the new 69 Camaro was picked up by the now happy customers to be taken home and finished. What they picked up was a sweet rolling chassis paint exactly what they wanted. The old shell was sold to a guy that was going to use it for mock up on some project.
