1968 Mercury Cougar
We have restored Fords and Mustangs, but no Mercury Cougars. Here is a 1968 Dan Gurney Special in need of some TLC. Our new customer and friend had seen an episode of Power Block where our Torino Cobra was on the show. He inquired about restoration on his car. This car was delivered from just south of New York City, New York. The car suffered from acid rain and salted roads in its past. There is significant amount of rust. The interior is in very good condition and the 302 Ford small block runs smooth and with us finding a donor car for the hard to find parts this Cougar will be hitting the road shortly. We can envision how the motor will look restored. Here are pictures of a 351 Cleveland in a 70 Cougar. Someone got a hold of a paint can and thought they would freshen up. The motor was pulled, cleaned, resealed and repainted. The difference is proof in the pictures. When It is done right once, you are done. Watch this project transform in the next upcoming months. We took delivery of the “Merc” the third week of July 2010.
