1975 Toyota Land Cruiser
This 1975 Toyota Land Cruiser came from the Knoxville Tennessee area and was delivered by the third owner. After owning the relic for a couple years and buying and swapping Toyota parts, the new owner called Mid-Southern Restoration after researching the Toyota LC we had previously done for a gentleman in Afghanistan.
The body was rough and the frame dirty, but the motor was sound. The motor was cleaned up and updated. The suspension had worn out parts and some proved to be harder to get. The “Tub” of the body had typical rust and much was cut out and replaced. Having completed a Cruiser similar to this one and many other types of rusted vehicles, the experience with this type of repair made it uneventful and in short time the body was ready for finish work before heading to our paint shop.
An interesting aspect of this unit is that the motor is the lowest numbered 2 F Toyota motor know to exist to date in this year Cruiser. The 2F was new to this year.
By working closely with the owner over a period of a little over a year the Cruiser began to really take shape. A bright Blue Color was chosen. The soft top was fitted and the complete vehicle was rewired and even A/C added for cool downs. Watch for the finished product shortly.
The Land Cruiser made its way back home to happy customer. It is a very nice example of a saves unit.
