1956 Chrysler Crown Imperial Limousine

This rare auto was sitting in a gentleman’s driveway near Silver Point Tennessee and he was annoyed by the space it was taking up. It was promptly purchased by an owner here at MidSouthern Restoration and brought to Cookeville, Tennessee where it was used as a prop in front of the shop.

This is a 1956 Chrysler Crown Imperial Limousine. There were only 119 units built like this. The car is very complete and in very good condition for it age of 53 years. There is rear A/C and rear Wonder Bar radio controls. To make this into an eight passenger car the jumps seat fold out of front seat. The drive train consists of 354 Cubic Inch Hemi.

The push button automatic transmission shifts and propels car as it should. The odometer shows 48,540 miles. The body is in very good restorable condition with minor rust issues. The floors have minor rust issues with the back seat floor being clean of rust. The trunk area has some rust in left rear corner. The rear air A/C is all in tact. The front Bumper turn signal housing is not missing and was found in trunk.

Having the many connections we do in the auto restoration world the car was purchased and delivered to its new owner near Sidney Australia where it was restored by the new owner. The car is no longer for sale but is left here to show uniqueness and here are pictures that were sent from down under has the restoration took place.
