1969 Camaro
“Do it right the first time” could be the theme for this 1969 Camaro from Cookeville, Tennessee. This car had the body and paint work completed by another local Cookeville restorer. The body had huge gaps in the doors, hood, trunk, and cowl area. The pictures show the tape measure and misalignment on the cowl. The hood was so far off it would not close. This is rough when you consider there was already $2500 worth of paint on the body. The paint was equally as horrible, with runs and “tiger stripes” in the candy-color paint. After much massaging, the car was repainted. This time it was sweet. Since then we have finished the mechanicals, and the customer had an upholstery shop of his choice to install the custom stitch Job.
There are a lot of personal custom touches the owner had us do. One item was the 59 Impala dash custom-fit and the fender well covers custom-made here. This car will be for sale by owner to make way for more projects.
